Who We Are

About Us

Even before opening the doors of the Animal Medical Center of Troy, MO in the spring of 2000, Dr. Ryan McCann’s goal was to practice the best possible veterinary medicine while fostering a friendly environment with a highly knowledgeable staff.

Today, Dr. McCann has more than achieved that goal. What began as a small practice with one veterinarian and only a few exam rooms has now been transformed into an 8,600 square foot facility with two full-time doctors offering everything from routine wellness care to state-of-the-art diagnostics, surgery, cancer care, and even laser therapy.

Affordable

High-Quality Care

From the soothing 650-gallon saltwater fish tank in the waiting area to our helpful staff, who are happy to provide your pet with a VIP escort from the parking lot, everyone at the Animal Medical Center of Troy will go the extra mile to make you and your pet feel welcome.

Our Services

Compassionate Care

Just as we were from day one, the entire Animal Medical Center team is committed to providing the kind of care your pet deserves—the highest quality, affordable veterinary care throughout your pet’s lifetime.

Wellness Examinations

Yearly wellness examinations give your veterinarian in Troy, MO, the opportunity to get to know you and your pet. They also monitor your pet’s health over time and keep your pet healthy by detecting any problems before they cause serious health issues.

Vaccinations

In Missouri, many infectious diseases and parasites—such as parvo virus, canine influenza, rabies, heartworm, lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever—can pose potentially serious health risks to your pet.

Dental Care

Dental problems can cause severe pain and make eating difficult, negatively affecting your pet’s nutritional status. And when left untreated, some dental problems, such as infections, can cause serious systemic (whole-body) problems.
